in CCNA & CCENT
All those interested in joining a CCENT/CCNA study group, please post here.
Also, as stated prior... we will need a volunteer to set up the hangout. It would be great if we could get someone who is more experienced with using the service.

Ok, so let's get this started.
Who wants to set up, what I assume will be, the hangout? I'm pressed for time or I would do it myself. I will help in any way I can though.
It looks like most recent posts are interested in a CCENT/CCNA study group, so let's at least get a separate thread set up so we can see who else would be interested in joining.
I don't wish to hijack this thread for the purpose of setting up that specific group.

Santa_ Member Posts: 131 ■■■□□□□□□□Great to see this thread made.
I think it would be best to create two or four separate groups; ICND1 and ICND2 640-822/640-816 and also ICND1 and ICND2 100-101/200-101
Allowing the old and new material to stay separate from each other, additionally allows those currently studying the 640 series and 100/200 series separate. -

Santa_ Member Posts: 131 ■■■□□□□□□□Upon further investigation it seems like Google Groups would be sufficient enough for the need of supporting different groups with discussions. Similar to a thread created on any web-based forum.
Google Hangout will act differently in the that you'll be chatting with up to 9 individuals in a one time session which allows you to share videos, share screen, share apps, chat and probably a few other things.
If a thread was created within this website sub forum I feel like it will get dragged down and then end of on another page (unless it becomes a sticky thread).
Google groups created.
CCNA-CCENT-ICND1 640-822
CCNA-CCENT-ICND2 640-816
CCNA-CCENT-ICND1 100-101
CCNA-CCENT-ICND2 200-101
Editing in progress. So you will notice changes over the next few days, unless I get everything done tonight. ;D -
DoubleNNs Member Posts: 2,015 ■■■■■□□□□□I hope there's enough traffic in the groups to warrant 4 individual study groups.
Either way, I'll be joining the 640-822 group.Goals for 2018:

Santa_ Member Posts: 131 ■■■□□□□□□□I agree that I thought the same thing. Then I thought that doing the groups individually would keep certain topics within the proper exam group and eliminating confusion for certain users who may not have read on a topic being discussed, being it is for the latter exam.

Santa_ Member Posts: 131 ■■■□□□□□□□Thanks for catching that. I know there would have been mistakes made while being talked to by my girlfriend and listening to music. :S
Name fixed.
Ken217a; I'm going to study for the new version 2.0. Though this does not affect how much information goes into one or the other. List of general topics would be, Exam Topics, Lab Gear vs Simulator, How To/Video resources, and so forth. Similar to how this sub forum is. -
fredlwal Member Posts: 44 ■■■□□□□□□□I'm interested in joining the Google hangout group. Right now i'm listening to the audio of the CBTNugets CCENT in the car. My screen name on google+ is fredlwal.

Xyro Member Posts: 623Santa, thank you for taking the initiative to create several Google Groups. I still ponder the idea of Google Hangout though because as you stated:Google Hangout will act differently in the that you'll be chatting with up to 9 individuals in a one time session which allows you to share videos, share screen, share apps, chat and probably a few other things.
I believe most were interested in more than a forum-based interaction because, after all, that's what we already have here on TE.
Again, the groups are great, but would you be up to also creating (a) Hangout(s)?
We could use the groups you created as a type of "home-base" because I agree with your statement that this thread will (eventually) be "dragged down". -
DrBr0b0tnik Registered Users Posts: 4 ■□□□□□□□□□I'd like to join up for the 640-822 group. I've been through CCNA modules 1 & 2, but I'm defiantly not comfortable taking the exam. Currently self-studying Odom's ICND1, CBTnuggets CCENT, and I have Packet Tracer.

Nytrocide Member Posts: 225Would be nice if we could actually all get a Hangout Chat going too...now that it's universal to web/Android/iOS and is tied to G+. Video and etxt chat anywhere. Santa_ Member Posts: 131 ■■■□□□□□□□Been away from the forums due to a new job and EDC and another show this past weekend.
I have yet to start reading my new CCNA, but I will start later today.
The G+ chat will be a nice thing to have, but would we be discussing different topics , specific chapters/topics, or just about anything related?
I've added most requests sent to the Google Groups. Any one is more than welcome to start topics.
My plan of action will be to write down my notes and transfer them to a PDF file from the chapter that I read. Allowing myself to retain the information better and users to read my notes and use it for their own study materials. -
Xyro Member Posts: 623Unfortunate to see this has failed to become organized.
Also, apparently I'm out as I'm not entering a telephone number just to open an online account. That's ludicrous, IMO.
Good luck to the rest of you though & if anyone wishes to start a study group on something less invasive such as Yahoo messenger etc., feel free to inbox me. -
