MeatCatalogue Member Posts: 145As far as I'm aware the MCITP:SA is from tomorrow no more, it's only MCITP:EA left available with MCSA 2008 being given for taking either 70-646 or 70-647
MCITP: Server Administrator is what goes away tomorrow. MCSA stays in market indefinitly. MCITP: Enterprise admin goes away Jan 31, 2014 -
BIGDub Member Posts: 8 ■□□□□□□□□□Does this change mean that the MCSA 2008 has been taken off the chopping block for now?

Deadpool85 Member Posts: 20 ■□□□□□□□□□From what I understand, that particular title is around for the foreseeable future and will not expire in Jan 2014. It is the other titles that do. MCITP ones. I am no expert though and I am sure someone will confirm for you.

RobertKaucher Member Posts: 4,299 ■■■■■■■■■■This really cheeses me off!! I was rushing my MCITP certification & it costed me a ton of money.
I hate to tell you guys this but since the beginning of the MCITP certifications, MS said publicly that the exams would retire after the exams for the version after the next OS became available. Guess what? Server 2012 R2 is RTM and exams that cover it are starting to be rolled out. This is not new information. -

Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP)
The MCITP: Enterprise Administrator on Windows Server 2008 and the MCITP:
Virtualization Administrator on Windows Server 2008 R2 certifications will be retired on July 31, 2014.
You must meet all of the requirements for a certification prior to the certification retirement
date in order to earn that certification. -

loverock Registered Users Posts: 1 ■□□□□□□□□□i am currently doing MCITP Enterprise Administration with a local college in South AFrica, i have not received enough information concerning the retiring of this certification and i would like to know if this is one of the certifications that are being retired come June 2013 then postponed to jan 2014. i am so confused right now because i have been working on this certification and suddenly i learnt that Microsoft has started retiring some of its certifications. please help me understand either i should carry on with this MCTIP or i should switch to MCSA, MCSE or any other certification...
Thank you

FT1supra Registered Users Posts: 2 ■□□□□□□□□□Hi,
I think the MCITP is still in use. I know because i try to register at Pearson vue and it's a test that is allowed. BUt the other day when I tried to register for the MCITP-70-643 at Prometric I didnt see any dates for it. Even though 2 weeks ago it was there. So, I don't know whats up. I want to take it but don't know if im ready. I took it in March 2013 and failed. And I veered off the path of self study, with life and kids. yada yada. In September I picked up my books again and have been studying like a mad man. Im so furiously studying that I once forgot to pee for 16 hours. I hear ringing noises in my ear , and eyes are blurred for not blinking in front of my monitor for 10 hours straight on weekends. Did any one have any experience on the MCITP 70-643 with regards to Terminial Services Load Balancing Server farm? Was it on the test? I took in in march but was so unprepared that I forgot what was on it. I know there was alot of Central Administration questions. 10 out of 50. Thanks.
