Hello all! I've been working on a help desk for around 2.5 years and am now wanting to specialist more in IT security/net pen. I've been acquiring skills to help with this, e.g I've spent quite a bit of time using Kali and playing around in my own test labs. I've also got a solid 3 years of programming experience with a… -

Re: sitting for SSCP on 12/5
Sorry you didn't pass you first try at the SSCP. You can see that the exam topics may be similar to the Sec+, but the exam items are worded somewhat differently. All of the information you need about requirements before and after the exam is in the SSCP Candidate Information Bulletin. That part about a tiny fraction of… -
Re: Having issues again today with the CHTP labs
To add to what @yoba222 mentioned. THPv2, VHL, OSCP, exam retakes, you are looking at a minimum 12-16 months of work here. Depending on your level of experience I could see 8-12 months is doable. Not that you have indicated, but just a friendly reminder to not tackle these simultaneously. You will experience failure on… -
Re: Hi from Turtlegirl
Thanks for the warm welcome. Yes, it's always been T.G. (username) I've not changed it. I ended up as a video games journalist, which is far from security. Due to finances and circumstances I didn't go through with my CEH, even though I wanted to. I barely touch security now and actually miss it so much. The qualifications… -
