iPad and 3G networks
3G and 4G networks are becoming an opportunity for growth in the IT world. The iPad will set the tone, followed by the other companies, to add millions more subscribers to cellular networks. They are all going to need IT support, especially networking, to help expand the infrastructure. I wonder how one can get on board… -
Re: A+ or network+
A+ certification tells people you know about PCs. Network+ is obviously about networks. If you are going to do networks that only use Macs and other computers, skip A+. I can't see that as realistic, so do A+. My advice, which I followed, is A+ Network+ Server+ Security+ in that order. i-Net+ was a waste, IMHO. -

default gateway in stub networks
In the Todd Lammel book I read, "You can only use default routing on stub networks—those with only one exit path out of the network." Then how does a router in a non-stub network forwards a packet to a network that's not in its table? Does it forward it to a router it thinks is a stub network? thanks -

Network+ 2009
Hello, just starting out on my network career hoping eventually to reach CCNP level. Anyway i've seen that the new Network+ exam is out and i'm wondering if you guys think it's worth going for the N10-004 rather than the N10-003. Also do you believe these two books would be enough material to get me through it, as there is… -
rip for class A networks?
Hi all, I have a question about configuring RIP for an internet routable network (not in 10/8, 172.16-31/16 or 192.168.x/24). For example 1.1.1.0/27 and 2.2.2.0/30. How do I configure this? network 1.1.1.0 network 2.2.2.0 ? This is a class A network so 1.0.0.0 and 2.0.0.0 might be the correct answers. Can someone help me… -
Networking (Where to start?)
Evening All, I currently have my MCSA and interested in studying for some Networking certs. I have little 'networking' knowledge and before my studies begin for CCNA (which is my 1st goal) is there any advice on other networking certs and / or books, before I attempt this? Is CCNA to much for someone with little networking…
