Passed SSCP...on to the CISSP!!
Proud to announce that I successfully passed the SSCP exam this morning! Wish I knew what I scored and which sections I did poorly in so that I can feel validated and know where I should have studied harder...oh well. All-in-all, it took me about 3 ½ months – in that time I had to take about 30 days off as I transitioned… -
WGU Round 3: MSISA
Hiya. Some of you may remember me from my old BSIT:Software thread, http://www.techexams.net/forums/jobs-degrees/94513-wgu-bs-software-starting-nov-1st-2013-a.html Since then, I've also finished the BS:Accounting program with WGU. I started my most recent term on May 1st, and finished the last 20 CU a few days ago. That… -

Re: Medical IT / Medical Coding good mix for IT skills?
What are you studying? Moonchild's posts are interesting and I highly doubt it's a "tr011" post. The reason to their issue is "uncertainty", they are overly cautious of every situation. He's in better shoes than some people I know (at least he's got the M.Ed/BS CIS and is employed). I know some people in way worse of a… -
Re: Norwich University - BS in Cyber Security --> MS ISA Comparison
I meant to be more active in this thread. I apologize for that. GI512 - Foundations and Historical Underpinnings of Information Assurance Completed - Grade A This class was a rehash of security principals compared to the BS in Cyber Security program. If you have CISSP, CASP, or an educational background in cybersecurity,… -
Re: CompTIA Cloud+
Comment by Nersesian · · Home› Certification Preparation› Cloud Certifications› Cloud+ & Cloud EssentialsHello there, I sat for and passed the Cloud+ exam about two weeks ago. I was between terms for school and wanted to occupy my time with something besides work and figured why not - my entire infrastructure is in a hosted environment and I don't have time for a VMware cert. So I picked up the Stammer/Wilson book as its the… -
Re: CompTIA is working on developing the Mobility+ certification
The trend towards mobility is undeniable, but I'm just not sure about this direction for compTIA. I don't think we're going to see a lot of people go after this because the market won't be looking for it. Most helpdesks will already hire without A+, and I don't see them adding mobility+ as a requirement. I don't see many… -
Re: Career Advice
Non-Military but I've worked with a few who were. Couldn't tell you ranks or anything only backgrounds. My first job was with a System Admin who was retired Army. He didn't have a degree but had A+/Sec+/Sec+ and least 5yrs exp. He said he had a toss up of between a higher paying job that was DoD contract but was afraid of… -
Stuck on where to go from here...any advice will be helpful!
Looking for some advice on where I should take my next step in my career and a bit stuck... Background: I started as a help desk technician 8 years ago. I did helpdesk work for a year and a half (6 months for a company and a year as a gov't contractor) and then joined the Army as IT. After spending 4 years in the Army I… -
Passed earlier this month
I found myself on these forums quite often while studying and wondering whether or not I was setting myself up for failure. I do not have the recommended level of experience for the exam, but I'll explain where I'm at for anyone considering taking the test around my level. I took the test because I could not find CSA study…
