Hello! I am new here and looking for some guidance - I recently started preparing for the CRISC, and for that purpose purchased Isaca's 7th edition review manual, as well as 6th edition review questions, answers, and explanations QA book. After only the 1st chapter, I am noticing material in the review manual and questions…

Provisionally passed CRISC on 5-Feb
Began studying in November with only the ISACA review manual and QAE database. Gave the manual one good read and reviewed the major points two more times. I continued going through all 599 questions in the database until I was consistently scoring a minimum of 80%. I took a break for a few weeks in January, but for the…

Is ISACA's 'IT Risk Fundamentals' something I should attempt before CRISC? + free online resources?
Hi everyone, So I'm new to the platform, came across it while doing my research on the CRISC exam and the best way to prepare for it through a blog post on InfoSec. I am coming from a 2 year stint in a big 4 firm though I was placed mostly in Internal Audit assignments for external clients and found myself on track to…

Passed CRISC today
Knocked out the CRISC exam this morning. I felt it was straight forward and did not try to confuse you in any way. Just "Think like an auditor” Read the questions 2X then look at the answer
choice and work your way up from "D” to "A” then make a selection. I read the CRISC official study guide cover to cover. I also…

I failed the CRISC today
I'm feeling extremely low at the moment about this. I studies using the ISACA prep course and the "All In One" book. The questions seemed straight forward, no real scenario questions and I overall felt confident when I hit the submit button but I got the results and it said I Did Not Pass. I don't know what to do or how to…

Provisionally Passed the CRISC exam 18th May
Wow .. this exam was tough! background - working in risk management last 7yrs and IT before that for 15yrs, in both 1st line and 2nd line for a large global bank. I am a CISSP and CEH so this definitely helped. I was prepared but the answers 2 out of the 4 answers are very close to being right and you need to be sharp with…

Exam with Risk Management Experience Only?
Hi there! I have 7 years experience in risk management; however, none in IT risk management. I'm looking to get into the IT/Info Security risk assessment/control testing field and looking at taking the CRISC. Obviously I wouldn't be able to get the certification yet, since I'd need the 3 years experience, but is it…

Provisionally Passed the CRISC exam
I took my CISSP back in September, and had been preparing on and off for that for a couple years, so that was helpful. Also took my CISM in November. I only did the free Cybrary training with Kelly Handerhan, I bought the ISACA CRISC ebook and used that for reference and deeper reading for things I didn't quite get. I also…

Passed the CRISC examination
On October 28th, I passed the CRISC exam. Of
course, it is a probationary pass and I should receive the final verdict next
week. My prior experience with cert exams were taking, and

Visual Basic cert about 20 years ago. How I studied: I read the…

Not sure whether passed CRISC exam preliminary "NOT PASSED..will be reviewed...result in 10 days..."
I have just taken the CRISC exam today and when I ended the exam, the result was something like " ...NOT PASSED...Preliminary result..to be reviewed...actually result will be sent to your e-mail in 10 days..." . I am confused whether I have failed the CRISC exam. Just wondering whether anyone can advise me.

What does the CRISC preliminary result actually say on screen if you fail?
I took the exam this week and think I passed but am now wondering if in my nervousness I read the word 'passed' but it maybe said 'not passed'. Anyone have the misfortune to know what a fail message actually states?

Studying for the CRISC
Hello everyone! This question is for those who have taken and passed the CRISC exam. When looking at the QAE database, did you opt to buy the book or signup for the online QAE from ISACA? The price for me is the determining factor if the book is sufficient enough or not. If not, I'll bite the bullet and pay the arm and a…

Hi guys- i'm CISA certified and planning on taking the CRISC next in the interim between leaving Big4 and starting an IT Operational Risk role in banking. Applying for CISM and CRISC at same time?
I've passed both exams and am planning on submitting applications for both very soon. Is there any requirement to have different experience for both? My…
