Hello All, First of all Congratulations to all of you on passing your exam. Very happy for you.
I received my result and did not make it. I feel terrible. This is my first attempt. I do not have audit experience but has IT background. Was looking forward to launch my career in IT Audit.
I did a self study and spent around a month on CISA review manual and practised all the questions on CISA Review questions, Anwers and Explanation manual and its supplement multiple times by reviewing the concepts.
I was hoping that I would clear this exam. Not sure how i study going forward. Can anyone please provide me some feedback or suggestions. Any help is really appreciated.
First, it is quite classy of you to congratulate others first, even in your moment of sorrow.
It is hard to know the best course of action for your specific case without more details, but my guess is that the core issue is that some of the material didn't stick in your mind well enough. My suggestions are twofold. (1) Read the CISA Review Manual again cover to cover, and this time take handwritten notes as you read. This helps commit the key points to memory and also gives you something to refer back to, so you can re-read your notes every night or two. (2) Purchase the online practice questions so you have some new practice material. As you get questions wrong, write down the underlying principle behind the right answer (again, commits it to memory and gives you something to re-read). Keep practicing until you can score 80-90% on new practice questions and 90-100% on questions you have seen before.
You can do this. Hold your head up and give yourself credit for what you have already learned. Next time you'll pass. -

Thank you Tanker for the reply. During the exam, I was able to eliminate two choices very easy. Majority of the questions, I think I was stuck between the two choices and seems like I picked the wrong choice. I had a feeling after the exam that most of the questions on the exam were very different/ odd to what was practiced on the Q&A manual and supplement. I do not mean that the questions would be inline with the Q&A manual. But somehow I felt that they were at a different level. May be this is where I failed.

Dear all, I just received my results. Passed.
This was my second attempt.
I was devastated when I failed my first attempt.
For the ones who failed, please don't give up.
Take some time to digest, then get back on your feet.
You don't really fail until you give up.
Keep trying, don't wait too long for the reattempt.
CRM may help/assist you for audits but I strongly suggest doing the question database more. -
