I have been studying on and off for a year and feel quite stale. I have used the Sybex guide, Kelly Handerhan videos and am now going through various practice test and the eric conrad book to put everything together. I do have 4 weeks so I think I will be going through various chapters of the sybex book and read through…
Passed my CISSP after 129 questions The test was everything I thought it would be, difficult, but not too difficult if you studied everything you needed to study A very broad exam, you will need to know almost everything and all is fair game My resources I used to study included Sybex 8th Edition Shon Harris 8th Edition…
Hey folks, I was wondering if anyone perusing the CISSP and SSCP forum has taken the CISM exam. If so, my real question is around how it compares to the CISSP. Not the typical "CISM is management only and CISSP is are more technical and all inclusive security cert" answer. I get that CISM is more around risk and…
Hello everyone, I'm curious if anyone has taken the exam recently? If so, what did you think about it and what would you recommend to prepare? I have been planning to prepare and take the CISSP certification, but I am not entirely sure if i should go for it as my first Security certification. Would taking the SSCP first be a good idea?
I've been slowly making my way through the Sybex 8th book and just smacked into Chapter 8, "Principles of Security Models, Design, and Capabilities". My eyes glazed over and brain started drifting off to happier places. I finished it and got 18/20 on the end of chapter questions, but I felt like the chapter content went a…
What are the best books for CISSP? Besides Sybex and Eleventh Hour which I already have, what are some other good recommendations of books for CISSP?
Just got the email today and paid my dues. Officially a CISSP. Glad to have that process over with. Now onto bigger things!
As per the title my workplace is funding a 5 day CISSP course soon with a free exam attempt. Reading from various threads it seems it requires months of studying to be ready for the exam. What are peoples thoughts on the best way to go about this? Revise before the course, do the 5 day course and book the exam shortly…
