CCNP Worth Pursuing with Little Cisco/ NOC Experience? I'm trying to consider just how far I want to wade into the Cisco waters here. I love networking but frankly I don't do much of it day to day. I could make the argument that I've done CCNA level stuff around work but nothing really in depth. Since I rarely touch a…
Hey Folks, Can anyone explain why it's best practice to use a loopback interface for a GRE tunnel as opposed to just an IP address? Do the tunnels have to be tied to an interface or can you simply make up an address? Looking for some clarification on this. Thank you!
What frame relay knowledge will I need for the route exam? I say the newest ccna which had no frame relay so my knowledge of it is non-existent
Hi, Still studying for switch, 300-115, working through the David Hucaby official switch cert book and learning all about CEF, the FIB, adjacency tables, as well as logging, NTP etc etc. I stroll over to the Cisco exam descriptions and notice all of the above is not in switch, but rather in the route exam descriptions. I suppose their's such a thing as disrespecting the test since I half-a** studied for the first one and boinked it !! They hit me with a ton of labs right from the start. I aced those with a vengeance after having skipped a couple of them from the first exam (730/1000). Anyhoo, since I took the half day off work I used…
Hello ! I'm trying to create a Back-To-Back T1 connection to simulate a PSTN in a Lab environment. But I still had no success. I'm using two Cisco Routers ( CISCO2811 - Version 15.1(4)M8, and CISCO2801 - Version 12.4(13r)T ) with a VWIC-2MFT-T1 card each. Maybe someone here can help me. Follow my config and some debugs…
For those who have come across the information how many points are the labs during the exam worth? I completely skipped the lab on OSPF/EIGRP redistribution lab however I aced the Access List (Patch Control) and ended up getting a score of 730/1000. The minimum score was 790.
