Failed Security+ Twice with even lower score
Good afternoon Tech fam, I retook the Comptia Security+ exam for my WGU curriculum and failed with a even lower score. The first attempt I made a 670. This go around I have no idea how in the heck i scored a 468. That's embarrassing. I read the Emmet dulaney Security+ book and the corresponding professer messer videos.…

However, I found this very helpful table, but it's actually for Cisco Support. Not for Security+ exam. Anyone knows a good site…

Just passed SY0-401 and here are my thoughts
I just got home from the exam and let me tell you, it was tough! I passed with a 759 so i'll take it but it was a very confusing test. Almost like it was written by Dr.Suess or something. What I used to study was of course the Darril Gibson book as well as his online premium content. His online content was very helpful.…

Just took SY0-401
I took the exam yesterday but I failed . I got 735 scores Some reviews for you: - There are 25 practice questions on comptia website. DON"T rely on them or you will underestimate the live exam because it is much harder. In my opinion, Those questions don't reflect how hard the exam is. - I got 72 questions and answered 71…

The one week ILT course
I don't have any certifications and never have. I was pursuing A+ but have since been told Sec+ might be more beneficial to not only attain immediate A+ requirements, but also put me on a good path for my Defense IT goals. A lot of people here seem to do self study, but that just does not work for me. I'm also inclined to…

Took my test.......
...yesterday, and passed. I actually took it back in 2010 and passed as well. What I can tell you, is that A) it only had 72 questions this time,(90 last time) and it was a TON harder than it was back then. A pass is a pass. I will take it and be sure to do my CE this time.

Security+ 401 exam changes over the years?
New poster here. I've been a sys admin for 20+ years, but working for small companies that don't require certification, I'm a little behind on that front (e.g., my last exams were NetWare). I'm now working to pass Security+ 401 before the exam expires. These forums have been very helpful; thanks to all who contribute. I'm…

My certificate says CE?
Friends: I have a question. I just passed my SYO-401 exam yesterday, and the certificate says certified-CE? The first time I took the test, I failed and this was my second attempt. I have been studying the material for the Sec+ exam on and off since November and I feel pretty good about things, but I haven't done a lot of practice tests. Registered for Sec+ Exam 1st Week in Jan!
That might sound exciting, but I'm clearly not ready. My results from yesterday's TestOut exam was 48%. Today's exam was 56% but I don't know if that's because I memorized some of the answers to the questions rather than 'knowing' the answers to the questions.

Darryl's book.

Can somebody give me some examples of the performance based questions on the 401?
I am just curious what type of stuff is on them now. Back in 2013 it was stuff like colors of a CAT5 cable as well as configuring a firewall ACL so you had to know your ports.
