CySA+ Study Guide - Getting Started
Hi again. So I've decided to pursue the CySA+ and I am looking for best study materials before spending money blindly on stuff which might not be useful. I am going for the CySA+ mainly because my other 3 CompTIA certs will expire in June 2020 so I guess 1 year would be enough studying to eventually pass the exam and…

CySA+ Pass 21 April 2019
Happy Monday, I came across a voucher this past week for CySa+. Was a fun test. The last certification I took was CISSP in August of 2018 and that was lots of management studies. I work in the IT/Cyber Sec industry and I am VERY hands on so I decided to not study & just wanted to verify my current knowledge. I barely…

Linux Academy or CBTNuggets
I've acquired the books for success now looking for a lab hands on source. Can someone give me their professional opinion on which they'd recommend in preparation for CompTIA Linux+. The questions is Linux Academy or CBT Nuggets and can you provide me ever so kindly your insight as to why one over the other.

CASP+, CySA, or CISSP?
So, I've been in IT doing Various things for several years. I am MCSE Security, CEH, Sec +, Net + and A+ Certified. I Really don't have any Desire to be in Management. I am Definitely more of a Hands-on person. I think from what I've read the CISSP is more of a management Cert. If that's the case then that would take that…

Exams 103 and 104 one week apart
Hi, the testing centers near me dont have much availability for these exams.option to recv My original plan of action was to do 103 at the start of July and then 104 at the end of August. However there are no dates available in July and only two in August which are the 20th and the 27th. I read somewhere that the option to…

Passed Pentest+
All, Just wanted to share with the community that I took and passed the Pentest+ exam today. Background: I took the Pentest+ Beta exam back in May. I honestly didn't study for it. Passed Pentest+ 815/900
I sat this exam for the second time over the weekend. So far in my IT career its probably the hardest one I have done. On my first attempt I failed with a 730 and that was largely down to quality of the training material I was using. As it is a new cert I would be wary of some third party resources because they may not be…

Definitely was a harder test than LX0-103, maybe because I didnt study as good as the 1st time, but it definitely was an eye opener to what I didnt study, felt I got half the answers right, but it still felt like I might fail the exam ALOT more fill in the blanks than the 1st part too, probably 10-15 Was so hype when I saw…

Certs Renewal Option
Hi all, I recently started looking back at my certs renewal options. Kind of left it drag on and my certificates will expire in 2020 June. Earning CEUs through non-CompTIA certs - Rant
I really hate how CompTIA manges this part of your CEU program. You go look up a cert on a page and it’s accepted one day, but not accepted another day. It’s listed over many years, but it’s magically removed from the page after you passed the certification. To top it all off they make you sign an agreement in their CEU…

Linux+ Beta XK1-004 Just Released
New Linux+ beta exam released! Currently going to WGU so this cert is already part of my curriculum so it'd be pointless if I attempted it but for the rest of the community take a look. My understanding is this is only one exam as opposed to the regular LX0-103 and LX0-104 which breaks it in half.
