Hello, As the title says which CCIE path do you think will be most valuable long term, both when it comes to market value but also valuable in terms of what you learn while studying? I'm leaning towards Security.. perhaps DC is in a good position too. Please share your thoughts!
Hello everyone, I am very interested of obtaining a CCIE but I am not sure of which track I should follow. As far as experience goes, I have worked as a network engineer for 6 years, I currently have a CCNP R/S and I got all the material I need to study for the CCIE R/S. I do however feel that I would like to expand my…
I'm currently working on the CCNP but was in networking a long-time ago and am making a run at the CCIE. I expect to finish the NP by early Dec, take a break and hit the IE starting in Jan. So I'm putting together a project plan (a side-effect of being a PMP and program manager) and am wondering, what worked well for you…
Hi Guys, Currently hold CCNP R+S and looking at getting the necessary reading material to have a crack at the CCIE written and then the CCIE lab. Could anyone please list the recommend materials for the CCIE R+S? Cheers
I was thinking of getting VIRL and using it as a solution for a CCIE Sec home lab. Are there any good resources that discuss this? - How complete a solution would it be? I could either get the "Pro" version of VMWare to let me connect other external components. Or, I could just rent rack time from somebody, if there are…

Dear members. I wanted to ask you for an advice. I am on the way to complete my CCNP RS and unfortunately I see that I am not knowledgeable of many areas like Multicasts, BGP (just scratched the surface), MPLS, QoS, and a lot of TCP/IP. I would like to become a network security engineer, but before I switch to the…

After almost 6 Months studying I decided to go out on Exam, I failed on my first attempt (630 Points) and for the first time.... I am desperate now from which books/material should I prepare myself. Can you guys share…
Hi, I have mostly finished the INE videos on CCIE and the way Brian teaches MPLS, BGP is amazing. However, my personal opinion is that QoS is lacking though. Anyway, I got a couple of questions. When can I know that I am "fit" to take the CCIE written? Where can I get the CCIE lab to practice? Can I just use GNS3? The…
