How to give my windows server 2012 a static ip via vmware?

Anyone else using Autolab? I started playing around with it recently and it's very slick. It takes a little while to get everything setup (downloading iso, popluating the NAS), but once you have it setup you can deploy and rebuild a lab very quickly.

Guest OS Pagefile
Anyone see a problem using independent nonpersistent disk for guest OS pagefile and temp files? Snapshots will be quicker since independent disks are ignored. Backups using snapshot should be faster as well. Since the disk is nonpersistent, it'll clean itself every time the server is rebooted.

We use Orion software for all of our monitoring, and orion logs into the hosts every 5 mins. This fills up all of the events section making it unusable. Use case for NPIV?
Been reading up on NPIV and I dont see the point of having multiple WWPN's in your VM's. You still need to add the RDM disk to the VM's, so why go through the extra work of configuring NPIV (zoning and generating the WWPN's) ? What benefit does it provide? Someone please shed some light on this?

Claimrules
Had to write some custom claimrules today because Powerpath & RDM didn't like to play with each other. Didn't think I would ever use claimrules in real life when I was studying it for the DCA. Had to write it for 12 different LUNs so it took a while, but overall wasn't too bad.
