Net+ prep exam rating
I am preparing for the Net+ exam. After seriously studying Meyers's All-In-One Exam Guide, I have tested on numerous free practice exams and with about 4 sets of exams that I have purchased. I can average about 90% on these exams now. I have just taken the 2 Meyers exams from the CD included with the book and scored 100%…

Two questions:)
ok, I have two questions... 1) How much should a network+ certified individual expect for a starting off salary, with no prior on the job experience? 2) Is it true that I can take A+ and only have to take 1 or 2 more exams to get MCSE from Microsoft? What are the guidelines for this? Any links to information on this would…

Net + experience
Yesterday, I sat for Net +. It took me more than an hour to complete the test. Out of 72 questions, around 50 questions were quite easy/straight forward, such as identifying port/protocols. But some questions were weird. The questions were not difficult but confusing. For example, whether Apple talk uses Route information…

Network+ without studying
I have been working with networks for several years. I have never thought about certs until now. I just took the practice exam here on the website (I've done others as well). I am consistently scoring 85% - 95%. Does this mean I would be ready for the net+ without ever picking up a book? It seems a bit too easy so i'm not…

Need help trying to understand DHCP
I have read an abundance of information on DHCP. However, since I don't have hands on experience with a DHCP server my understanding of how it works is a little shaky at this point. For example, AOL is your ISP. Every time you connect to AOL, does their DHCP assign you an IP address? Just exactly how does this work?

802.2 vs. 802.3
Can someone please explain - all the books say that 802.3 ='ethernet' when talking about networks. However, 802.2 is stated to be the default for Netware 4.x & higher, and has the LLC field, which would seem (though can't confirm yet) to be the reason multiple browser windows get the correct information. Sure, 802.3 sets…
