A little background: I am a 25n in the army. I have been in 2.5 years and I have 1.5 years remaining on my contract. I will not reenlist. TSHOOT done
well I beat TSHOOT this morning, which was the last of the three for me. To be perfectly honest it was the easiest of the 3 P level tests. I really wish I didn't wait so long to take it after finishing route and switch, but I was so psyched out by what a co-worker said. Best advice to folks getting ready for it is to go…

CIPT2 tomorrow
A little nervous for this one. Been studying about a month. I've got Globalization, CAC, AAR, Device/Extension Mobility down pat. I'll admit to not putting much time into CCD/SAF though, just read the chapters in the Cisco Press book a couple times and watched the INE series. I've NEVER seen this in a production…

Hello guys,I have a Cisco home rack lab which is behind my ASA 5505. I use my ASA to connect to the internet. My situation is I travel a lot for work and I am unable to do my labbing practice. I am pretty new to ASA and would like to do a port forwarding to access my access server which is connected to my Cisco routers and…

Passed CVOICE today
So, passed today with quite a respectable score To be honest, I was quite surprised by this exam, I was expecting it to be a lot more difficult. Or I should say i expected the areas tested and spread of question formats to be different. I can't expand any more without breaking NDA. Perhaps the Route and Switch exams have…

CCNP Switch DONE!
Just finished sitting the Switch Exam, scored a lil over 900. My company bought the entire FLG so I've been using that for reading material while taking notes. The Switch book was poorly written in comparison to the Route book, guess that's why people indicate to use the OCG. Also supplemented with CBT videos and lab…

CCNP before job or not?
I'm studying for CCNA at the moment, hopefully I can be passed by june. I'm finding it really interesting, not too difficult but a lot of info to take in obviously. I'm not working in networking at the moment, I'm wanting to get into it though. As soon as I pass my CCNA I am going to start looking for jobs. But obviously…

Passed Route
I passed route today, 860/1000. Not a pretty score, but it's a pass. It was much harder than I thought it would be. They also limit your options in some of the simlets so you have to be prepared to find the information you need another way or even configure things a different way.

SECURE set for 4/20/2013
I may move it up to this weekend if I feel comfortable by the end of the week. This material definitely agrees with my brains happy place. I pick it up and retain it easier than other stuff i've gotten certs for.

redistribute RIP routes
I have a following simple topology: R1 <-> R2 <-> R3 <-> R4 "R1" speaks RIPv2 with "R2" and "R3" speaks RIPv2 with "R4". "R2" and "R3" speak BGP with each other. I would like to distribute only those routes to "R4", which "R2" learned from "R1" via RIP. I made a "route-map" to "R2" router which matches all the prefixes…
