Needed Cables to complete home lab.
So I began studying for the CCENT about 8 days ago. I've been spending around three hours a day, after work reading Tom Lammle's 100-101 book and have found it surprisingly helpful. I do a lot of driving for work and usually listen to youtube videos about topics that need good reinforcement (TCP header, PDUs, subnetting…

can i make use of this FXO gateway?
I don't have any PVDMs but I have this FXO gateway pictured below. Can I use this thing to connect to the PSTN or simulate connections to the PSTN? I'm afraid this gateway is only useful for connecting analog phones to an IP PBX... It would be nice if I could offload transcoding to the FXO gateway. I'm confusing myself!

Reading Network Academy modules on a tablet is annoying
I have tried a couple different browsers on my transformer infinity, but I can't manage to resize the tiny pane with the words in it to take up more of the page like I can on my laptop. I'm going to go for my CCDP before long. I haven't studied any design material yet but do work at a large enterprise and have been a NE for 6 years now. Does the ARCH OCG contain most of the info found in DESGN? Or do I really need to get DESGN specific material to pass the CCDA?

troubleshooting SIP registration and outbound calls
I've been labbing all day and stuck on this particular problem. Prevent IP spoofing
Hello. I have a question to help me understand this. In CCNA Security OFG written by Keith Barker, it is mentioned several times that you can prevent IP spoofing by either implementing a ACL on ingress traffic that denies IPs that have the address of: 10.0.0.0/8 172.16 ~ 31.0 /16 192.168.0.0/16 127.0.0.0/8 and so on Or by…

Journey to CCNA
I’ve just booked my ICND1 exam for 31st March 2014, so I figured I’d create a study log to give my studies more accountability. I've Registered to take CCNA Voice on Feburary 28th
My main mistake with voice is that I've kept putting it off because I can "always do it later" and of course later never comes. What's next is whole month and half have been wasted. Posting this here to obligate myself and insure I get this certification done as this method worked extremely well for the vanilla CCNA.
