I'm new to the IT world and I'm looking to get my A+ cert. I have already take the 801 and 802 but was not well prepared. I know all the "feeds and speeds" very well but I have trouble with the scenarios on the performance based questions. Is there anything anyone could recommend to me to help me out i.e. simulation labs…
Hi - just wondering what's the cheapest place to pick up the CompTia A+ books and materials for self-study. I've seen mike meyers books on amazon for about £20 second hand - just wondering if thats the cheapest? Also wondering if anyone here is selling theirs? Or know somewhere else cheap to buy online? Also, do you think…
At home i'm taking it chapter by chapter using Mike Meyers All-in-One and the Exam Cram books. Whilst I'm at work, i'm looking for some good ways to revise within my spare time. Working on an IT Helpdesk, I only get increments on spare time throughout the day. Any tips on how to revise in such a small space of time? For…
I hold an A+ cert but the last job i had doing computer work was about 5 years ago in a school district. I took a little career detour unfortunately and I've realized it was a mistake and i need to get back into the field as i am much more passionate about it than what i'm doing now. I'm reaching out to those that are in…
Had a quick question about the A+ exams. I have heard that the exam is computer adaptive. Does this mean the exam only gives one question at a time, with no option to flag a question and go back? Perhaps a recent test-taker can chime in on this. Thanks
Hey everyone, I'm having my 220-801 tomorrow at 11am and even though I have went through three books and been revising a lot, I for some reason feel like I'm not ready. People close to me are saying I'm definitely ready but there's that thought in my head constantly that I'll get confusing questions or something. Speaking…
Hi guys! I'm currently studying to re-take the A+ exam (I have the 700 series cert). I've been professionally in IT for 10 years now.. but never pursued a degree. My plans is to take the 900 series as soon as it's released. After that I am going to apply to WGU for my bachelors. Beyond excited. I wanted to share my study…
I get the whole recertification part but where would someone stand in this scenario. Has A+ its near expiring so person gets N+.. 3 years later both are expiring. If the person simply retook the N+ would this renew then both over again?
I've heard its worth doing both exams the same day which means revising for both at the same time.. is this the best route to take? I've been studying 801 and not 802, not sure if this is wise.
Can anyone point me in the direction of a few good sites to purchase vouchers from, or any discount codes that may be available currently? Some of the stickie's links are out of date, and they aren't compiled in any specific format. Thank you in advance, Doug Dimmadome
