Passed ARCH, Now a CCDP
I passed my ARCH exam yesterday, and am now a CCDP (or will be soon. Waiting for official notification from Cisco). Took me 2 times to pass. I studied by reading the ARCH Foundation Learning guide. I also went over my ROUTE and SWITCH notes, since it's been 2.5 years since I took those exams. I'm happy this is done. Next…

Subinterface ping delay
Just a quick one guys, if you've got a router with a few subinterfaces and dhcp is handing out addresses as normal is it okay for the PC to not be able to ping the router the first time but rather the 2nd time be successful? Similarly with PC's in different VLANS on the same gateway, I seem to have to ping the gateway from…

DHCP router refuses to give out addresses for specific VLAN.
I'm pulling my hair out with this one and I have no idea what's causing this. Basically I have a router set up with two switches connected via EtherChannel trunks for VLANs 64, 66, and 69. The Router is to hand out addresses for them. It works fine for VLANs 64 and 69. A client can get address on those switch access ports.…

Practice Tests
Hey guys, so I was wondering what everyones thoughts on practice tests were for CCNA, or cisco in general. I'm afraid of using a practice test only to find that its a braindump and then to feel as if all my hard work went for nothing. Any that you guys specifically recommend and have used in the past? Thanks!

Packet tracer lab mostly working but not pinging across fully
Hi everyone, I've been set an example lab which contains VLANS, DHCP, OSPF, EIGRP and STP. I'd say with what I've done 90% of it works; computers can get their IP addresses through subinterfaces and, PC's in different VLANS can communicate. However, certain parts of this topology…

Dynamic NAT netmask question
I'm pretty confident on all the objectives for the CCENT exam but one thing that confuses me still is the subnet mask when defining Dynamic NAT For example, ip nat pool MIKEY 209.165.200.1 209.165.200.12 netmask 255.255.555.0 In the above example, if my public pool is only 12 IP addresses, why is the netmask a /24?
