My first useful Cisco post (DHCP Snooping)
Well this is something that I ran into a few years back when a dummy connected his linksys router to our network and started serving up IP's. Well not only is this a pain in the ass to track down in a large campus but it can be prevented with this feature. You can enable it at a global level via ip dhcp snooping or on a…

Failed ICND2 today
Took the ICND2 test today and failed. Had a serious time management problem and had to run through the last part of the test. Positive side is I know what I’m weak on and what to work on. Will target a retake next week so everything is still fresh. FORWARD!!

Will connecting a WLC at 10/00 bottle neck a 802.11n AP connected at 10/100/100?
Hey all! Will connecting a WLC at 10/00 bottle neck a 802.11n AP connected at 10/100/1000? I have a 2504 WLC and a 3602 AP. If I connect the WLC to a fast ethernet port, and the AP to a gigabit ethernet port, will the AP be bottle necked to 10/100 speeds? The 3602 is 4x4 MIMO capable of 450mbps. Thanks for the help!

Sitting CCNA Security on 16th January
Been studying this only for 2-3 weeks. Though a lot of the content of this exam seems to be what I did way back in 2010 when I did the ISCW exam for CCNP. Hasn't felt like a massive step in difficulty. It also helps that I am now 2nd line Network Support and have been since October '12 and so getting daily exposure to most…
