Security+ bootcamp or online training
Hello all, I have read through the boards and although a few times the same questions was asked it was never really answered except to say that bootcamp wasn't needed. And I do respect that answer but I am looking for anyone who has taken a bootcamp or online training from infosec institute, netcom learning, onlc or ced…

Hi all, new here to the forums but been around IT for awhile and am working to finish a BS in security and I am using certs to gain credits. Sec+ Success
Passed on Thursday. Taking the exam, I felt a bit underprepared. Still pulled off an 819 so I'll deal. Study materials:* Cybrary Security+ Videos * Professor Messer's Videos/$10 **** Sheet * CompTIA CertMaster * PrepLogic SYO-201 (Audiobook that I had free access to. Most of the material was still relevant). Bonus help:*…

Passed Sec+ first try
Hello guys.. So here I am.. Passed my first cert in the tech industry. I was going to take the test but was low on cash so I proceeded on to study for the…

Passed Sec+ today
Passed with 781/900. Just like others mentioned you have to know the material and understand the concept. Test was not easy and very challenging. Used whole 90mins. Studied for two weeks and here's the materials I used: Darrill Gibson study guide GCGH online premium questions Android sy0-401 app by konnect llc.

Also Passed Sec+
Passed Sec+ yesterday with an 836. I studied using Darril Gibson's book, which I started back in March, so it took me just a little over 3 months to earn the cert. One month before the test, I bought the online standard access to Darril's site and used that which was a good benchmark to see where I was at with retaining…

CBT Nuggets vs Prof Messer
I am in a 6 day bootcamp and I am in day 2. I have currently learned the Compliance part (which I hate because I am bad with all those plans and stuff) and I am now in the cryptography (interesting but having a hard time remembering all the block sizes, etc). I am getting overwhelmed and my brain is hurting. I was thinking…

Passed Security+ today, woohoo!
I purchased the CertMaster Deluxe bundle for the training and the re-take. I've been studying the All In One book by Conklin and viewing some TestOut videos. I only put a few hours in studying and figured I would do a trial run of the exam to see how the questions are worded, what the simulations are like, etc. I've taken…

PASSED TODAY! Here are my thoughts...
So today I sat for my Security+ exam. I had a class almost 2 years ago designed for Security+. I got a B in that class but because of a money situation at the time I did not take it. After moving to Texas with this wonderful IT job market I was able to obtain a job in IT. Anyways, I make decent money now and decided to sit…

I passed today with a 835 score I am so glad to be done with this exam just because of the magnitude and scope of it. I used the same method I used when I took the…

Why do some books talk about topics and others do not.
I am currently studying really hard since I have failed the exam twice. Since I had foot surgery, so now is a perfect to study hard and pass this exam finally. Passed Security+ with 781 the test isn't that difficult at all. In fact I was that confident I passed I completed the exam with 35 mins left and didn't bother to review. Darril's book is all you need! I would say Network+ is far more complex than this exam.
