Network+ Materials
Looking for N+ study materials... One of the books I have flipped through and liked was: Network+ Certification Passport, Second Edition (Mike Meyers' Certification Passport) (December 6, 2004) However, I read the N+ was revised in 2005, so I wouldn't think this would be my best source as it probably doesn't cover those…

Well, I take the Net+ tommorrow! I'm nervous! We go around the school and fix the computers there after we get our A+ certification, and we have to get…

Asking Wether having A+ and Network + is really worth it
Hey guys i am ust a little curious been having an argument with one of the guys in my training class, he reckons that A+ and Network+ are not actually regarded in the IT field by employers... is this true are we actually doing this only for the sake of having papers on the wall or what ??

Passed Today!
I passed my exam today. 794 was my score, so I got nearly 90% of the exam correct. Not bad seeing as though I've never really worked on a server. I have only worked on my very small LAN with 4 computers, wireless. Well, I know what most of the questions are going to be - What's Next? I'm planning on going with the 70-270…

Safe exam info
I've seen this in other forums, but not in this one (at least I didn't find it yet). For those of you who have passed the exam, can you tell us what kind of questions you ran into? I know you can't legally discuss questions and such, but things like was it mostly OSI questions? or Topology questions? Things like that. In a…

Do you think I'm ready?
I just took all the practice exams on this website. I got 90% - 93% and then 90% on the exams. Do you think I'm ready? For some odd reason I still don't feel 100% confident. Oh and I didn't use that **** button either.

Passed A+ Yesterday...
No Congrats though! Made it through with some relatively poor scores, 649/685. Next step is Network+, I plan on buying the Sybex Net+ Guide and the Mike Meyers Net+ Passport and already have the CBT Nuggets. Have a couple of questions for some people that might be familiar with this material: 1. Does the latest edition of…

Passed, but.....
I'm dissapointed with CompTIA for the poorly written and unbalanced questions. I don't have professional experience yet, but I had several networking classes in college and reading the Sybex book felt like nothing more than a review for me. I had a couple of questions on topics that I new front and back that I missed…

Am I ready to pass?
Bought Mike Meyer's Network+ book and started studying a couple months ago. Recently, I took the two practice tests on the included CD. I got 50% right on the first test the first time taking it. Two forms of ID
It says that I need to have 2 forms of ID and I was wondering if credit cards count since they have my signature on it. Driver Licence is obvious since you have to have a photo ID. Tips for Network+ Exam.
Hello. I have some good tips for passing the CompTIA Network+ Exam. Feel free to add to this list. When you first sit down at the workstation, where you'll be taking the test the time for the exam won't start until you click start on the workstation. You will be given either paper or a "small white board" with a…

Network+ Books
Hi Everyone! I am just starting to study for my Network+ Exam (I'm taking this one before I take 70-291, which after it all plays out will get my MCSA) and was wondering what books you would recommend? I bought the Mike Myers Passport book (it looked like the best of the 3 I had to choose from). I did use this one for A+…

Passed today on first try
I am somewhat new to the network world, but work at a help desk for the military. I purchased the Exam Cram book to help me transition to the Network enviroment and passed with a 669. I had a decent amount of port questions and only one OSI model question. I am relieved I did not have more OSI questions.

Thanks again to Johann and all who contribute on this site. Now, I rest for a few hours, and I move onto 70-270. I was reviewing the books for the 70-270 exam. Thanks for the answers to my questions and for the technotes on this site! I found it be a basic exam and nothing to fret too much about(although 693 is not a very high score, but it's safely past the passing mark) Most people would probably be good to go if they spent a few days reading the textbook through all the way,…

tcp utils questions
How in detail are the questions on the tests? Do i need to know all the command line switches for arp/netstat/nbstat/ping, or are more of the questions on how and when to use them? Passed today!
I passed today with a 644. I only studied with the technotes here and a couple of practice exams. Quite a bit of stuff that I had never seen before was on the exam. Overall, I wasn't too worried. And I only studied this past weekend... so two days preparation for this one. I can live with that. :)

Great TechNotes - Thanks!
Passed both A+ and Network+ using just this site and free-tests.com. All grades in the 720-820 range. About 2 weeks full-time study for all. Seemed to me that many of the questions not covered here were betas, rather than current objectives (otherwise I wouldn't have done so well). Props to Johan!

Passed my Network+ exam!!
The net+ exam I had had alot of troubleshooting questions on it. There was hardly any of the OSI layer questions and hardly any media and topology questions. Lots of NOS questions and commands on the exam I wrote. As long as your confident with the exam objectives you will do fine.

Net+ paper certificate
I'm not usually one to grumble, but my certificate just arrived by post and to be honest, it is pretty budget. When I showed it to my boss, he asked if I had printed this copy for him, I…

Passed Baby
Passed with a 627. I went slow in the beginning and my time was running out. None of the questions they were asking at first were topics I studied and I got so nervous in the beginning. Those who used Mike Meyers book
I've just bought the mike meyers book today and I would like to know which areas that this book lacks of (as I know it's not easy to find a book that covers everything). So that I'll take note of it and look for other sources to cover those areas, and hopefully get myself ready for the exam.

Passed Today
I passed Network+ today, 725. Not as good as I'd hoped, but only 1 1/2 weeks of study. I used mostly Sybex Network+ ISBN: 0-7821-4406-3, and read a little bit of Exam Cram2 ISBN: 0-7897-3254-8. I'd say the Sybex is way better of a book though. I had a few questions on ports, so know the ones on this site. Also, you should…

900!! It doesn't look like I got 100% of the questions correct though. On my score report it said that I missed one or more questions in the network operating systems section.
