CCNA Security Practice questions
I'm going through WGU, and as part of that, I'm taking the CCNA:security. While I have access to the official certification book by cisco press, I do not have access to the practice exams, or DVD content. I'm using CBT nuggets and GNS3 (which I haven't figured out a way to use for the switchport security commands), but I'd…

OSPF Default Originate
Hi all, I was doing some practice in setting up OSPF in a NBMA network, and when I want to propagate a default route (that has a exit interface instead of a next hop IP) across to other routers connected in the same broadcast domain, it doesn't work. Rather, if I use the next hop IP address, the route gets propagated to…

Is ACL applied to the interface or routing brain?
For "in" rule, definitely it's most efficient to apply it to the network interface. However, for the "out" rule, especially the filter of IP addr/transport port, it does not need to wait until a MAC frame is formed at the interface before checking the IP header. Is it the case? Consider an access list in MAC address and an…
