Hey everyone. As many of you know possibly from my previous posts, the Net+ Exam has a very low pass rate (30%) and has been under the intense scrutiny of Network+ Training Vendors, even some folks from CompTIA themselves. Go here if you want more information about what people are saying about the exam.…
Hi all, This is my first post on here after many months of reading all the success stories! I passed my Network+ today, scored 759 which isn't that great but a pass is a pass! Thank you to everyone on here who have given their advice to the other members as it helped me tremendously! My study resources (all highly…
Passed the Network+ today. I have mixed emotions about the exam itself as about half of it was more difficult than I expected. Oh well, onto Security+ and Cisco fun! I used a combination of Professor Messer's website and LabSIM. LabSIM was not enough by itself, I learned an easy way to subnet through Messer. I can not…
So I've been looking at Prof.messer vids and thought I needed a book to go along with it. I went out and got the Network+ (N10-006) by Mike Meyers. Is this a good book to study from or should I have gotten another one?
Hello all I just took my network plus exam and failed (scored 696). I'm new to IT and this was my 1st attempt at anything in IT. I want to pass N+ then S+ and finally CEH or CISSP. I felt pretty confident about my answers except simulations. How do you prepare for that? I remember one of them asked me to place various…

Network isolation is the topic of the day how do you run two DHCP servers on a network without conflicts? For example we currently have a router connected to a SME server which hands out I.P for the main network. I want to setup a Clonezilla server however obviously I wish to avoid I.p Addy conflicts as the clonezilla…
Hi guys does anybody know a easy way to get to grips with Powershell? I want to learn some basics. I have looked at the learn in a month of lunches book briefly however it didn't seem to grip my attention. Can you point me in the direction of some noob friendly material or just give me some general advice or a approach to…
Took my Network+ exam today. I got 659/720 needed. Given I'm taking this exam and Server+ to get promoted up into a network position, and don't have a lot of actual networking experience, I did pretty darn good. Give it a month of hard studying on the areas i failed in, and I will be more than good to get that Network+…
I am excited that I finally passed the darned thing. 729/900, previous scores were 679, and 700, so I at least made headway. Now for tips for those struggling, just keep at it, I used Darrell Gibsons app through Android, Professor Messor's notes. Videos from Mike Myers via Lynda.
