What is your best score on subnetting.net?
So far the best score I've gotten is a 9 . I saw some people getting high 60's on the high scores table, which seems crazy. What is your best score, and what do you think I should be at before going to the CCENT? My goal is to practice 15 minutes a day and record my scores in an excel spreadsheet to mark improvements.

Passed ICND2, now CCNA!
Passed today ICND2 with a score of 973/1000, i'm very happy! :D After studying ICND2 for 3 months, test wasn't so difficult, but some questions and the SIM were not exactly easy and fast to answer. I'm CCNA R+S Certified! Thanks to all :D

CBTNuggets Lab Review
I'm wondering if anyone has the ICND1 Lab Reviews for Jeremy's CBTNuggets videos that are actually part of his ICND2 series. The first 6 videos are a review of ICND1. My account expired recently. I really don't want to renew it just to get those nugget labs. I forgot to download them when I had the chance.

With spanning tree, do all the links between switches have to be trunk links?
I'm just learning spanning tree and atm I don't understand how spanning tree works in conjunction with vlans. Because of that something has really been nagging me, and that is the question in the title. Just going by what I already know or what I think I know, I assume that per vlan spanning tree(pvst) is what you would…

How does a bridge reduce the size of the collision domain?
Hello Everyone, I was hoping that someone with a little more knowledge can take a look at this next paragraph and judge its accuracy: The bridge, a predecessor to today’s Ethernet LAN switch, uses logic so that the frames in one CD do not collide with frames in the other CD. The bridge forwards frames between its two…

Another subnet question
How many subnets are possible with a Class B address and a subnet mask of 255.255.255.128? This popped up on a practice quiz I was taking on a website, I picked 512 and they said it was wrong, and that the correct answer is 512. Why? 9 bits borrowed for subnetting, 2^9 = 512. If they were asking about hosts, then I could…

I'm doing Odom's practice examplee and I'm confused.. . 1) 3124::DEAD:CAFE:FF:FE00:1/80 3124:0:0:DEAD:CAFE::/80 why isn't it 3124::DEAD:CAFE::/80? 80/4=20 so the first 20 are reserved, the rest all 0's . 2) 210F:A:B:C:CC CC:BOBO:9999:9009/40 210F:A::/40 40/4=10 so first 10 are reserved but I only count 8 3)…
