secondary IP addressing vs. 802.1q (or ISL) trunking
I feel like I should know this, or be able to grasp it, but I just can't. Secondary IP addressing, as I understand it, is configuring multiple gateways on a single physical interface. So basically this: interface fa0/0 ip address 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.0 secondary ip address 172.16.0.1 255.255.0.0 Next, configuring 802.1q…

Got my first CME lab going, few quick questions
Hello, So I picked up two 7940s on eBay for $17 each and a 3550 inline power switch along with 2811 router to start learning Voice. enable secret 0 cisco
When would I want to use "enable secret 0 cisco" vs "enable secret cisco" command? Odom text P. 244-245 I've tried it both ways and found that the "show run" results seem to be the same. Plus per Odom's text both passwords are stored in the config file as MD5 values.

I took ICND2 640-816 and failed.
So I'm bummed, but it is what it is. The question is; what did I learn from this? The first thing is that I was presented with some IPv6 material I had not seen before. Obviously I am not going to present the question here, but I will say that is was something you either knew or didn't and I didn't. This was question 2 and…
