Dear, I am from Argentina. I plan to take the exam in English, considering the translations are misleading. I read, that if I prove that the English language is not my mother tongue I am enabled to carry a dictionary Is it like this? Should I take it or give it to me at the exam center? Any steps for this? Thank you!
Hello all, Soooooooo....Ive been really considering taking on this hurdle soon. I have been looking at the objectives, and I feel fairly confident without studying. Am I being too confident or should actually take the time to study? I feel this way because my minor covered a lot of the CBKs. Its been some years since I've…
Hello, getting ready for the SSCP exam, Currently using Darryl Gibson's Book, but I'm finding that the CASP study guide is very helpful. but what is the best Test Prep (testing engine) for the SSCP exam?
Hi All, After failing twice (677, 691), I passed the CISSP exam on Feb 11. I’ve spent a long time lurking on this forum sponging up information from passed/failed threads, and now it’s time to wring out my thoughts/experience with my first post. The exam: The test centre is about an hour away. Gave myself 2 hours to get…
so very happy! was so anxious until i got the result. i'd like to say do NOT panic. be confident, relaxed. what's the worst that could happen? you will just retake. lol. so, i'm fairly well rounded in IT experience - security, server, storage, and some desktop support experience. did my Security+ years ago. for SSCP - i…
Took exam on June 7th and passed. Received official email that I passed exam on June 10th. Email about endorsement documentation being received June 21st. Got the email this morning that endorsement is still being processed and to wait the full 6 weeks. I was excited because according to others I would have gotten my…
I did it! I passed this mile wide inch deep exam. Was not feeling confident at the end but getting the "Congratulations" made it all worthwhile. I owe my success to forming a study group, 4 of us so far have passed the CISSP exam. They told me I was ready. Was taken aback by having 8 drag and drop questions. I stopped 2nd…
Hi I'm new to the forum I just passed the Sec+ a few days ago. I've been looking for my next security certification and I think the SSCP is a good choice to advance my career in info sec. I know the SSCP most recent version was released in 2015 which makes me think that it's about time for a refresh. Can anyone speak to…
Below is a summary of what I did to pass the exam. I may be rambling but then again I just got home... I've been in the security field for almost 10 years so I may have more "real-world" experience than some others who are new to the field. Then again I never believed in certifications. I always believed that google was…
I only vaguely know someone at work who is SSCP certified, so I had ISC2 act as my endorser, submitted my experience and a letter from my employer on company letterhead . I was chosen for an audit and they asked for my current resume. I emailed it and got a response that they had received my submission and to expect up to…
