I'm done reading mike meyer's all in one 7th edition textbook! Is this enough to prepare for the exam? I dont have money to buy more books. hopefully knowing everything in this HUGE book inside out will allow me to pass. All I need is the cert as my interest lies in networking.

It wasn't hard at all! Phew! Just finished my class for the 603 exam at school. (PC help desk) and my teacher said if we passed it we wouldn't have to take her final. So I am exempt from the final. Went and took it Monday and passed with a 891 out of 900. Now to study for the 601 over Winter break!

Did comptia remove the 3 designations you had to choose from after passing the essentials and just made it one? I notice in the previous version after you passed the essentials you chose a designation test to choose form. Now it seems you just take 2 tests. Do you still have to choose between IT, Depot and support?

2006 or 2009 edition?
Hi, I was going to start studying for the A+ exams soon, but then I realized there was a 2009 edition, but none of the study guides I see are available until October. Would it be more beneficial to go ahead and take the exams now, or wait a couple months for the 2009 edition? Thanks.
